Almaty Central Stadium is the largest stadium in Kazakhstan. Opened in 1958 and renovated in 1997, 2004 and 2011, it seats 23,804 on natural grass. It is the home of FC Kairat and one of the grounds of the Kazakhstan national team, which drew a record 25,000 against Portugal there in 2007.
